10 Layers of Frills (2014)
10 Layers of Frills is an experimental dance-theatre performance exploring normative ideals of beauty, the fragility of performative femininity, and the strength of women. It brings together flamenco, contemporary dance, and physical theatre.
I was a co-deviser, dancer, and singer for 10 Layers of Frills, which was commissioned by Singapore Flamenco Festival 2014. The devising team was mentored by Flamenco legend Antonio Vargas and performed alongside artists from Flamenco Sin Fronteras.
